Collaboration with Natura Nova animal crematorium

As an experienced car salesman, Jeroen Huijbers of Urns and More knows that helping in a search gives you energy. He was looking for an extra purpose for his life, something that would give him new energy. The funeral industry attracted him. The result: selling urns, both for people and animals. A collaboration with Natura Nova was inevitable, of course.

From wish to implementation

“I have wanted to do 'something' in funeral care for a long time. The idea of urns and other lasting memories had been on my mind for a while. I started talking to an urn wholesaler who was 'in my backyard'. They were open to collaboration and that was the trigger for me to start my own business: Urns and More.”

Lasting memory

Jeroen came across Bart from Natura Nova through a mutual acquaintance. “That was very natural. I called Bart, we made an appointment and there was a match. Bart wants to offer his customers as complete funeral care as possible. An urn or other lasting memory is part of this. Since I have urns in all sizes in my range, which are also suitable for animals, the collaboration came about quickly. Part of my collection is at Natura Nova, but if a customer cannot make a choice, they are welcome in my showroom in Reusel. What I have in stock can be taken immediately. If I have to order it, delivery times are usually short.”

Urn as an art object

The great thing about the urns that Jeroen has in his range is that they often don't look like an urn. “That may sound strange, but many people do not want to have something in the room that everyone sees as an urn. Many of my products look more like a work of art than a 'vase'. They are available in all shapes and sizes, which means there is a personal urn for everyone.” There is little mention of fashion in the world of urns. “It has to be timeless; After all, it is about a lasting memory.”

Careful and respectful

Bart from Natura Nova works in the same way as Jeroen. “We both attach great importance to care and respect. That seems obvious in this business, but I know from experience that it is not. We both think it is important to take the time and guide people well. It is so beautiful to gain confidence and be part of a grieving process. To know that what you do or add alleviates some of the sadness is beautiful.”

Time and aftercare

Anyone who needs an urn after the cremation of a pet will have plenty of time at Urns and More. “I don't know much about it. You choose something forever and so you have to take your time. I am very flexible, if someone has made a choice, but wants to come back to it later, I give them that space. A few weeks after the cremation, I always inquire whether they are satisfied and whether there is anything I can do to help. That is appreciated. The fact that it fits with Bart's working method can hardly be a coincidence: we put the customer first and that is exactly how it should be done, in my opinion.”
