Our high-quality collection of ash statues is produced by the artisans of Tingieterij de Geest. This tin foundry has been around since 1978 when it was founded by owner Gert-Jan de Geest. Gert-Jan was taught the craft by his grandfather, who himself had a tin foundry. The Tingieterij de Geest team consists of craftsmen with a passion for their profession.
The ash statues in this collection are made of pewter. This is one of the oldest metals used by humans in making many objects. While it was originally widely used for making weapons, tin is now widely used for domestic utensils and works of art such as these unique ash statues.
